James Bodman (1762 – 1828) and Jane Wiltshire (1762 – ?)
James Bodman married Jane Wiltshire in the same church as his parents at Lacock on the 25 Jun 1782. He was aged about 30 and Jane was about 20. They were both of Pewsham.
Like his father James had a large family. James and Jane had the following known children:-

In 1805 on the 22nd September, along with his father and brother John, he submitted to a settlement examination.

James Bodman –saith that he is the son of John and Mary Bodman and that he has never done any act since his birth to gain himself a settlement in his own right That is he is now about forty six years of age and has a wife named Jane and nine children
