Benjamin Bodman (1705 – 1748) and Hannah Haddrel (? – ?)
Benjamin Bodman was born around 1705. He was a butcher.
There are various references in Calne General Accounts of Benjamin supplying meat during 1729. In 1730 he purchased Pew seats in St. Mary’s Church, Calne which was sold on his death in 1749.
He married Hannah Haddrel in October 1729 at Bremhill. The Banns dated 5th October have been seen.
Benjamin and Hannah had one daughter:
Ann Bodman baptised 11 April 1747 at Calne.
Benjamin died in March 1748 and was buried 20th March 1748 at Calne. Benjamin left a Will (See Below)
It is not known when his wife died, but his daughter Ann died just 5 years later and was buried at Calne on 26th December 1753.
